They demanded his specie but on his telling then? he 'had none they badly beat him so that he died in a short time1 alte wards. They afterwards robbed the house. We presume that the matter will be properly investigated and the guilty parties will. be punished. Mr. Trexler is well known -in- this - county by the singular-fact tfiat he has had eight wives. We" think that a general licensing of bar rooms would be.impolitic but we think it wou d io no harm if one or twfl reliable gentlemen should be permitted to retail liquors. Col.
